This table was made for an entryway in a small apartment. The client wanted a wide table to maximize floor space due to the shallow constraint of the area. We enjoyed the collaborative design process as we discussed the appearance and size of the final product. The client expressed a liking for our Oxbow and Bend tables, of which we incorporated multiple elements into the design of this piece. The sweeping details in the legs compliment the tall and wide design.
The table was assembled without any screws or hardware, just simple joinery. We used the longest pieces of beautiful marbled grain walnut we had for this project. In order to create a seamless tabletop and shelf, we sliced our widest boards to the correct size for milling and then glued the pieces back together such that the wood grain matched perfectly. The result was a flawless console table for the client.
